Friday was actually pretty busy. I see I need to cut this day into 2 parts as well.
In this one, we went to Wisła and the Czech Republic.
But first, to a cafe!
| Hot chocolate & spinach cake. Yes, that's right: spinach cake. It was good too! |
| Reservoir for the Black Vistula (Wisła) River |
| Said reservoir |
| We're all excited about the snow. |
| Yeah, I was very happy. |
| Cali girl warming her hands after making a mini-snowman. |
We went to a place that had professional ski jumps--
Wisła Malinka.
| This is how you get a ride up. |
| Going up |
| Not to insult your intelligence, but I was VERY happy. |
| A view of the parking lot as we were going up. |
| Who wants to go first? |
| View from the top of the observation deck. |
| Again, who wants to go first? |
| Botched-up job of a stitched panorama. At least you get the idea. |
| Going down, just as we came up. |
Now, it's off to the city divided between two countries: Cieszyn.
Half of it is in Poland. The other half is in the Czech Republic.
| Our tour guide reliving his childhood in Cieszyn, Poland. |
| The map of the divided city, in both Polish and Czech. |
| Coming to the border |
| Officially in the Czech Republic |
| Being in both countries at once. |
| Driving expectations in the Czech Republic. |
| Whoa! Similar to Polish! I understand it! |
| Must be the cutest couple picture I've seen in ages. |
| Returning to Poland. |
| Now you know, the city in Poland and the Czech Republic. |
