Warszawa, Part 2 (19. June)

Damian left to return to Kraków, so I'm left behind. This means only 1 thing: explore Warszawa some more, of course!

I needed info, so off to the epic Tourist Info I go.

Ok, that's obviously for the metro.

WHAT?! Bank of China in Warszawa?! Ok, I guess if it works.

Sorry, completely missed what this place is. Any help out there?

So many interesting places, so little time.

Oh, crosses, a Muslim crescent moon, what's this?

Ah, "Monument to the Fallen & Murdered in the East"

So grand, yet empty.

Never be too busy to pet a friendly cat in your travels!

Ghetto Heroes Monument

Polin: Museum of the History of Polish Jews

Whoa, this place has a TON of information. I got overwhelmed after a long day. Good thing photography IS allowed, as long as it's without flash.

Entrance

Very modern design

I guess they save a lot on electricity?

How would it look on a stormy-rainy day?

We begin by going downstairs, to the "forest".

Whoa, what an altar!

Simulated neighborhood.

Stairs down to death?

We're done. Back to the light.

This architect must've had fun with this design.

What about the construction workers? The janitors?

There you go.

Back to the monument

Ok, that was exhausting. There's still so much more to see. Will I have the time and energy to do so?
(Spoiler: I didn't. Monday poured like mad, so I didn't go anywhere. Tuesday, I ventured out again for the last time. Today, as I'm posting this, is Wednesday. I leave for the States early in the morning. I might not have internet connection for a while, so we'll see when I can finish posting all these pictures . . .)
